How to Prevent Bad Breath

The 800 bacteria in an average humans mouth, is the main cause of the offensive odor produced from their oral or nasal regions, usually called bad breath, or scientifically Chronic Halitosis. These bacteria breaks down the leftover food particles, esp. the proteins and the dead cells into amino acids, and further acting upon it to produce energy and thus releasing sulphuric gases.

Even thou our saliva do a little cleaning up, its work is not to its full swing while we sleep, hence we wake up with bad breath, or the morning breath. But this is not exactly the chronic halitosis.

The overdose of painkillers, sleeping pills, and antihistamines play a role in prompting halitosis by drying the mouth and reducing the effectiveness of the work of saliva.

Almost all people suffer from chronic halitosis, irrespective of age, sex, race, or socio-economic standards. Most people won’t know that they are suffering bad breath unless someone tells them. Having bad breath reduces the hygienic standard of that individual and is very offensive.

It is better to shut up and let people think that you’re a fool, than to talk aloud and let them know that you are having a bad breath.

Its hard to find symptoms for bad breath, but most people suffering from chronic halitosis has a pale yellow lining on the tongue, bitter taste and a dry mouth.
